Admission process - Top Banner

The Northey Suite is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and accepts pre-booked and emergency admissions. Transfers from other wards and hospitals are welcome.
Our aim is to provide high quality care within a comfortable, friendly and safe environment. We will always try to be flexible to your needs, and we would be delighted to show you around our facilities and answer any questions you have prior to admission.
Before admission, you may be asked for various health details to ensure that you are fit for your treatment.
We may ask you to come in for a pre-surgery clinic where we will conduct any necessary tests such as ECGs, x-rays and blood tests. Safety is our priority and we want you to be comfortable with the treatment process we offer, so your consultant will talk you through all aspects of the treatment(s) you are having, any risks and what you can expect.
When you arrive, one of our team will show you to your room and give you a tour of the facilities. We’ll talk you through what you can expect from your stay, and answer any questions that you have. If at any time during your stay you have questions, please ask a member of our team – we are here to help.
Your consultant will plan your discharge from the Northey Suite with you. Please check that you have collected any medication and arrange with your nurse when you are able to leave. A follow-up appointment with your consultant will be arranged, and a sickness certificate will be available if required.
You can receive mail from your family and friends. Please ensure that your post is addressed to you at The Northey Suite, 5th Floor Wells Wing, Epsom Hospital, Dorking Road, Epsom KT18 7EG. We will deliver your mail directly to you as soon as it arrives.
Visitors are welcome any time until 9.30pm. Restrictions will only apply at the request of the patient or clinicians.
